L' AZIENDA E I VIGNETI

La Sugarella farm extends for a total area of about 15 hectares. The composition of the soil is clayey-sandy.Here vines are grown for the production of wines, olive trees for the production of extra virgin olive oil, cereals for the production of flour and pasta; but also chickpeas, lentils, Trasimeno bean and aglione.All products are processed and sold directly to the final consumer; the latter can choose to come and buy what he wants at the company store or at the weekly markets that we do on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.



The vineyard, which occupies the main production address of the company, is 3.5 hectares. In 2018, in fact, another 2 hectares were planted with different types of vines; among these, merlot, syrah, chardonnay and above all the autochthonous vine of Lake Trasimeno stand out: the gamay del Trasimeno. This grape belongs to the family of Cannonau, Alicante, Grenache and Garnacha tinta.Sangiovese, cabernet-sauvignon, grechetto, Tuscan trebbiano and malvasia are among the already cultivated vines.The vines are grown mainly with guyot, and in a very small part with spurred cordon.
